Calling out to all you nature lovers! If you are young, energetic and interested in helping to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic on our environment, this might be a great opportunity for you!
Thank you for coming on board and supporting the The Plastic Bottle Kayak Expedition.
AfH Auckland is involved with a group of people wanting to set up an event for Green Apple Day (29th September) promoting healthy and sustainable schools and kids. It is an international initiative started by the US Green Building Council and this is the first of many days dedicated to the cause. Check out http://mygreenapple.org/greenservice.aspx for more about it.
The Auckland Chapter of Architecture for Humanity is dedicated to educating people about sustainable and socially conscious architectural practice and now with the Christchurch recovery, we are jumping in to help our partner Unlimited School.
Calling for all creative people out there – are you a good writer? do you have graphic design skills? do you know singers who can do “songs for christchurch”? we need your help!
While the folks at NZIA is working directly with DBH for best strategies to help those immediately in danger or displaced, we are also putting together efforts to support the nameless in the community.
Feel free to jump into the opportunities listed above, especially if you have expertise in certain areas. The team at AFH AKL are still firming up some details about various projects, we will let you know and post them as an 'opportunity' on the Chapter Network.
