MGM #1 - First meeting for 2013!
Dear humanitarians,
I can't believe it's already February! Where did January go? Hope you all had a well deserved holiday. We will be kickstarting our monthly general meetings (MGMs) this month on the Wednesday 13th February, 6:00pm at Jasmax. All are welcome.
2013 is looking to be an exciting year for AFH AKL with some great projects coming up! These are in the works at the moment and we'll definitely need some hands on deck in the future. Make sure you're signed up as a member of AFH AKL on the Chapter Network so you get the email about specific opportunities!

1 General Updates
- Welcome back to AFH AKL for 2013! Piet is still in Nepal on an internship with the UN Habitat. And Jacquie is in Paris doing wonderful things. AFH AKL members flying high!
- Our Christchurch members had a wee catch up with each other.
2 Projects
- HELP Auckland Project (Bobby) - Ongoing building alteration, currently awaiting client feedback.
- Winton opportunity (Darren) - intro from Darren.
- Possible Napier project (Andy) - Andy's entry to the AFH UNrestricted Access Challenge was a finalist entry and there is a possibility of it being built!
- Glulam opportunity (Bobby) - Recently the Auckland Chapter was offered a large number of glulam beams to recycle into community based projects. Various possibilities have arisen from this and we will need design/hands on support for this! Please email bobby@afh-auckland.org to sign up
- Mangere East (Bobby) - thinking about the next step for this.
- Guerilla Playspaces (Alex) - guerrilla-style interactive play spaces for people of all ages including children, to make our Auckland CBD more family friendly and fun. We are enlisting the creativity and energy of AFH Auckland to help make this happen.

Moving Back to Auckland
Hi guys, I'm moving back to Auckland in April and would like to catch up and get more involved.
