Hey Guys,
It's that time of year again so it's our pleasure to invite you all to our end of year wrap up party! It's been a busy year at AfH Auckland, with many projects and initiatives keeping us involved in the community in an architectural way. At this last event for the year, we'll be reflecting on what we have achieved together over the last year and thinking about the year to come.
Jacquie has graciously offered up her place for a shared Pot-Luck meal (bring a little something to share with the group). Please feel free to bring along friends and colleagues who wish to come along.
It is a beautiful location out by the coastline in the Waitakere Ranges and therefore is the perfect place to be for your Sunday afternoon! Perhaps even bring your walking shoes if you'd like to explore the bush!
DATE: Sunday 18th November
Time: from 3pm
Location: 1a Arapito Rd, Titirangi, Auckland
Directions: If you are coming by road please drive to Titirangi Village. Turn right into South Titirangi Road just before you get to Lopdell House. Follow the road for approx 3.5 kilometres down the hill until you get to a fork in the road which is marked by the last bus stop in Arama Crescent on the left. On the right is the Tamariki Reserve. Right next to that is a driveway with three white letter boxes, which is her driveway. Please park you car on the road and walk down. If it's fine and sunny you can actually walk down through the reserve and cut through a track on the left to her place. Her track is just ten metres down the council beach track past the field. She'll leave a wee marker. (Not a balloon). Otherwise please walk down the driveway. It's a two minute walk
If you would like to come by public transport you can catch a 173 from New Lynn. It stops right outside. The bus leaves New Lynn station at 2.10 pm and takes around 15 mins. It's a beautiful bus ride too with great views. The return buses leave at 4.30 pm or 6.30pm.
Any queries or for organising car-pooling, contact Piet on 021 0483846 or pieter@afh-auckland.org
Get involved!
Feel free to jump into the opportunities listed above, especially if you have expertise in certain areas. The team at AFH AKL are still firming up some details about various projects, we will let you know and post them as an 'opportunity' on the Chapter Network.
Cheers,
Bobby
