The Auckland Chapter of Architecture for Humanity (CC37040) is officially registered under the New Zealand Charities Act 2005 and we have been in operation since July 2007. Founded by the two sisters, Alexandra and Jennis Lee, the Auckland Chapter is very active in our community across three platforms: education, instigation, and advocacy in Auckland and the rest of New Zealand.

Education is one of our main streams of work, promoting socially sustainable architecture and bringing in experts from the field to talk about humanitarian issues, such as post-disaster recovery and the Plastiki project. We work closely with schools and universities in the region, running seminars, exhibitions, competitions and workshops to increase awareness for socially-minded architecture.
We support and help apply socially responsible and sustainable principles to architectural projects. We urge practitioners and students alike to think about the issues and values which we stand up for.
The Auckland Chapter of Architecture for Humanity is active on several social media platforms, notably our Facebook page and various groups for specific campaigns/projects.
We also use Youtube to share video content from our various site visits, community consultations and documentation. Subscribe to our channel!
